Job Summary: The Part-Time Wellness Nurse is responsible for supporting the health and well-being of residents in an assisted living community. This role includes monitoring residents’ medical needs, coordinating care, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations while promoting a safe and supportive environment. Salary is $34.00 per hour Key Responsibilities: Conduct routine health assessments and monitor residents’ vital signs and overall condition Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, in accordance with state regulations and facility policies Coordinate care with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid or nursing intervention as needed Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident care and health changes Assist with care planning and updates based on residents’ evolving needs Provide health education and guidance to residents and staff Ensure compliance with infection control, safety standards, and regulatory requirements Supervise or support caregiving staff as needed Qualifications: Active LPN or RN license in good standing (state-specific) Previous experience in assisted living, long-term care, or geriatrics (preferred) Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care Ability to work independently and make sound decisions Schedule: Part-time hours (may include evenings, weekends, or holidays) Flexible scheduling based on facility needs Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist residents as needed Ability to lift or support residents in emergency or care situations Manual dexterity for administering medications and treatments Key Skills: Attention to detail Time management and organization Problem-solving and decision-making Team collaboration Empathy and professionalism
