REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be bilingual in English and French
  • Occasional travel to the US and within Canada is required (20-30% of the time)
  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • Over five years of growing experience in human resources, ideally within a multi-location or distribution-based setting
  • Solid understanding of Canadian employment laws and HR compliance requirements
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on building strong working relationships
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment
Responsibilities
  • Advise managers on employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, performance concerns, and workplace investigations
  • Collaborate with business leaders to develop people strategies that align with organizational goals
  • Contribute to workforce planning efforts and support organizational changes through thoughtful HR guidance
  • Assist in building leadership capabilities through coaching and support of development initiatives
  • Partner with hiring leaders to attract top talent and implement effective recruitment and selection practices
  • Support new hire onboarding experiences and drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement and retention
  • Help administer and communicate programs related to compensation, benefits, and employee recognition
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that reflect best practices and comply with Canadian employment laws
  • Deliver consistent and proactive HR support across various programs and projects
