QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma, or equivalent.
  • Well-developed ability to show discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail oriented with good problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Minimum of one year of experience working with the frail, elderly, or long-term care population.

MINIMUM WORKING REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have reliable transportation, current valid Michigan driver’s license and car insurance.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be fully vaccinated, or willing to be fully vaccinated against the following communicable diseases: Influenza, MMR, Varicella, Tdap/Td, Covid-19 and Hepatitis B.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY PURPOSE

Under the supervision of the PCA Coordinator, Participant Care Assistants (PCA’s)will provide participants care within the day center, community setting, and in participant homes as directed by your leader or designee in accordance with the participant’s assessment and plan of care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • May assist with delivery of supplies to participants homes as assigned by the PCA Coordinator or designee.
  • Assist participants with ADLs in the center.
  • Respects participants autonomy and dignity
  • Promotes participants to engage at maximum level of independence during activities
