DESCRIPTION:

About the position
The Participant Support Officer is responsible for supporting Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) Program students to gain the most from their learning experience. The SEE Participant Support Officer will act as a first point of contact for new clients in the program to ensure that their pre- training assessments and placements are conducted in a timely manner and provide students with direction regarding their learning needs and preferences to further pathways to community participation, education, and employment.
Key Selection Criteria
Relevant degree qualification in educational, vocational or related field.
Strong organisational and ICT Skills.
Experience in a similar role, demonstrating capacity to provide support to participants. Careers guidance and respond effectively to participants enquiries relating to their studies, pathways, and personal circumstances.
Ability to plan and implement community education and employment pathways.
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with complex internal and external stakeholder queries.
Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
Previous experience with the Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) program knowledge of adult and community education will be highly regarded.
High level of professionalism, empathy, commitment, and interest working with individuals from diverse and disadvantaged communities
Fluency in a language relevant to local client demographics would be desirable.
