The Fan Hub’s priority is to expand on the work of the GWS Giants, Sydney Swans and AFLNSW/ACT in Greater Sydney, with the intent to scale services and capability to other markets and Clubs over time.   Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Participation & Fan Acquisition Officer connects several growth initiatives in Greater Sydney with a dedicated event and customer service resource capability working in the Hubs contact centre focused on specific areas/regions.  With a primary focus on leaving no stone unturned to increase local awareness and interest to ultimately find and nurture new fans across the enquiry to participation to fan ecosystem, the Participation & Fan Acquisition Officer will be skilled in and enjoy events and community outreach. will also play an important role in driving attendance and supporting crowd build initiatives to Swans and Giants games, ultimately increasing the prospect and supporter pool to drive long term consumer outcomes.     A DAY IN THE LIFE OF   Support the local sales calendar with a hands-on approach to growing an addressable database and finding new audiences and fans via outbound contact, events, activations and community outreach.  Manage the acquisition of new audience data at events and AFL activities to ensure appropriate customer journeys for target demographics. With the support of AFL NSW/ACT’s participation and community club network, identify and deliver events and activations that elevate the community club networks to enhance recruitment and retention.  Represent and grow the presence of AFL, Sydney Swans and GWS GIANTS profile within Greater Sydney, with a focus on Western Sydney markets.  Oversee the AFL match day presence at GWS GIANTS and Sydney Swans fixtures, introducing new fans to elite content that inspires fandom.  Supported by casual staff, uplift contact centre operations that reduce participation churn and increase transition between products and/or to additional fan outcomes.  Creation of training and development calendar for 12 x casual Participation and Fan Acquisition Officers to maintain highest standard of delivery across events and contact centre operations.  Work with Education Specialists with AFL NSW/ACT Schools and Community Connect model to drive opportunities for involvement in AFL content.     OUR IDEAL TEAM MEMBER   Understand of event management operations and processes Excellent organisation skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment Ability and confidence to sell, both in person and over the phone.
