Role Overview We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Partner Account Executive to join our Scale sales team. In this role, you will be the primary driver for business growth within the SMB and Mid-Market segments. You will work in close coordination with Scale account teams and broader cross-functional to build strong relationships with local partners. You will be responsible for building trusted relationships, recruiting new partners, and executing high-impact campaigns that accelerate the adoption of Cisco’s portfolio. Business Development · Strategic Growth: Identify and recruit high-potential partners to expand market reach. Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to drive incremental business through both existing partners and new acquisitions. · Market Intelligence: Analyze market trends and partner performance metrics to identify opportunities for growth and operational improvement. · GTM Leadership: Define and own the Partner Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy, focusing on technology adoption and penetration into new vertical markets within the Scale segment. · Accountability: Take full ownership of net-new logo acquisition targets and manage the partner’s overall profitability structure in alignment with the Cisco 360 Partner Program. Partner Relationship Management · Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain deep, trusted relationships with key partners. Act as their primary point of contact, ensuring prompt resolution of inquiries and proactive support. · Internal Orchestration: Act as an orchestrator across Cisco’s internal organizations—including Sales, Engineering, and Marketing—to ensure seamless alignment and maximize partnership outcomes. · Collaboration: Partner closely with internal account teams to ensure unified messaging and synchronized sales efforts. Program Campaign Execution Program Management: Collaborate with the Channel team to design and implement targeted campaigns that drive sales velocity. Performance Optimization: Monitor campaign KPIs and effectiveness, iterating on strategies to ensure maximum ROI. Enablement: Provide ongoing training and support to partners, enhancing their sales capabilities and technical proficiency through regular customer visits, demos, and enablement workshops. Qualifications 5+ years of successful sales experience in SMB and Mid-Market segments (7+ years preferred). Proven track record in partner account management or channel sales, with exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to develop business plans that balance partner priorities with Cisco’s strategic objectives. Highly adaptable and comfortable navigating complex, matrixed, and geographically distributed organizations.
