Description

Our Account Manager/Partner Manager is central to SkyPoint providing strong relational support and guidance to our customers. To do this effectively involves having both strong ICT & business acumen matched with a natural desire to deal skillfully and caringly with people.
You need to possess an in-depth understanding of cloud-based, on-premise, and hybrid IT & Comms environments. It is key you have the ability to talk to business owners and leaders in a manner that gives clarity around technical solutions and provides confidence. Your technical knowledge and experience, together with your written and verbal communication skills are critically important.
This role works closely with SkyPoint’s technical team, who collaboratively define, and support solutions based on customer needs and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms.
There is a great customer portfolio to support and care for, with plenty of opportunities for growth and new business development.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Five years’ technical sales experience
  • An experienced, driven, and successful sales professional
  • Skills utilising solution-based selling to bring the best overall offering to the customer
  • Ability to cultivate and manage a program of partnering with key companies and suppliers in the industry to help drive business
  • Account management and business development experience
  • Demonstrated abilities in interfacing directly with decision-makers
  • Must possess presentation, time management, and effective writing skills.
  • Understanding of IT network/cloud solutions, product positioning, and competitive conditions
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing strategies, techniques and principles
  • Project management skills including: project planning; structure; detail-oriented; discipline; project execution and follow-through.
  • Have strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with end-users to understand requirements and develop comprehensive and complete solutions that incorporate technology, administration, and business processes

Responsibilities
  • Effective ICT Account Management.
  • Achieving agreed sales targets [but not our ultimate focus]
  • Prospecting for new accounts and seeking opportunities to further develop solutions for existing customers
  • Conduct regular sales calls/visits to develop customer relationships.
  • Up to date with the latest industry trends and technical advancements and apply them in their work
  • Account management of existing key accounts; including handling any customer queries and communication about any different/new solutions
  • Work with the SkyPoint support team to ensure customer records are complete so the workflow process runs smoothly.
  • Follow all our standards and formats in presentations, proposals, and documentation
  • Facilitating and/or providing training for customers’ solutions
  • Assisting in promotion events and solution demonstrations to customers
  • Develop close working relationships with the team, customers, and suppliers
  • Provides leadership and/or contributes to the identification and introduction of new technologies
  • Provides leadership and/or contribution in the identification and introduction of strategies.
  • Understands the business needs of both our company and our customer’s businesses
