Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Lockheed Martin is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic team player to join our Canada and Latin America team! The Partnerships and Engagements Coordinator is a multi-faceted role. You will support the planning, coordination and administration of Lockheed Martin partnerships, sponsorships, engagements, and events, in Canada and Latin America. In this role, you will be connecting internally across Lockheed Martin business areas and externally with various business and community organizations in these regions. When needed, you will also provide support to the Head of Communications for Canada and Latin America, particularly with respect to amplifying and promoting our partnerships across traditional and digital communications channels.

In this multi-faceted role you report to the Chief of Staff and as a key member of the team you:

  • Support the planning, coordination and administration of receptions and other Lockheed Martin events
  • Support and facilitate Lockheed Martin (Canada and LATAM) participation in tradeshows and sponsored events
  • Plan, coordinate, and administer the sponsorship, and community partnership initiatives; working closely with both internal and external stakeholders to prioritize, design, plan, build and implement projects that align with our business and social impact strategy
  • Support the establishment and maintenance of sponsorship and community partnership agreements as well as support audit, assessment and evaluation against program objectives
  • Support the development of materials such as memos, documents, read-ahead packages, invitations, and presentations for various stakeholders
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Communications to support:
  • Internal communications to promote employee awareness and engagement
  • Connecting and amplifying local-level initiatives, including internal and external engagement and promotion opportunities
  • Supporting other communication requirements for special projects (e.g. advertising campaign efforts)

  • A certificate or diploma in a related field with enthusiasm to create meaningful business relationships and promote the activities of a leading international brand in the defence industry. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • A track record of successfully establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with customers, colleagues, and key stakeholders.
  • Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office products; in particular Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams

ADDITIONAL SKILLS DESIRED FOR THE ROLE

  • Comfort and experience handling complex administrative and coordination activities
  • An understanding and appreciation for defence and aerospace customers and their missions
  • Additional language skills such as proficiency in French or Portuguese are considered an asset
