Description

WHO ARE WE?

For over 30 years, Projects Abroad has been at the forefront of volunteering and impactful travel. As we expand our focus on educational travel for schools—including curriculum-enhancing trips, service learning, and expedition experiences—we are seeking a new Partnerships Manager. This role is ideal for a dynamic salesperson passionate about global education, responsible for growing and nurturing our relationships with UK secondary schools and colleges to increase the number of group trips.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We’re looking for a confident and driven individual who thrives on building relationships and closing opportunities. You’ll have a strong understanding of the UK education sector and a passion for creating meaningful experiences for students through travel.
You’ll be at ease speaking with teachers, school leaders, and decision-makers, whether in person, over the phone, or online, and you’ll enjoy turning conversations into long-term partnerships. You’ll need to be highly organised, strategic in your approach, and motivated by results.
If you’re a skilled communicator with a background in educational travel, B2B sales to schools, or student engagement, and you’re excited by the idea of helping more young people explore the world through curriculum-linked group trips, we want to hear from you.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Education, Business, or related fields).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in educational travel, school engagement, or B2B sales within the education sector.
  • Proven success in building and sustaining strong professional relationships with schools or educational institutions.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout the UK.
This role can be delivered either remotely or working from the Brighton office.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a robust outreach and sales strategy to promote Projects Abroad’s group trips to UK secondary schools.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with school leadership, heads of department, and trip coordinators, ensuring alignment with their educational goals.
  • Collaborate with our Operations team and Global Learning Unit to design and tailor trip experiences that meet school curriculum and enrichment requirements.
  • Represent Projects Abroad at educational travel fairs, teacher conferences, and school networking events to build awareness and interest in our programmes.
  • Conduct face-to-face and virtual meetings with teachers, heads of year, and other decision-makers to promote our offerings and secure group trip partnerships.
  • Monitor trends in educational travel, competitor programmes, and feedback from school partners to refine our approach.
  • Work closely with delivery teams to ensure our trips remain aligned with evolving school needs and expectations.
  • Travel extensively across the UK to meet with schools, attend events, and develop meaningful long-term partnerships with educators and school leaders.
