About the role At Southern Cross Health Insurance, we work closely with healthcare providers across New Zealand to ensure our members can access high-quality care while keeping healthcare affordable and sustainable. We’re looking for a Partnership Manager to manage and grow our healthcare provider partnerships by negotiating agreements, analysing market dynamics, and helping shape how we work with healthcare providers into the future. The opportunity As a Partnership Manager, you’ll manage a portfolio of commercial agreements with healthcare providers, building trusted relationships and leading negotiations that support long-term value for our members. You’ll combine health sector insight, data analysis, and commercial negotiation skills to strengthen healthcare provider partnerships and support strategic healthcare initiatives. Your work will include: Leading commercial discussions and negotiations with healthcare providers Managing a portfolio of healthcare provider relationships and commercial agreements Analysing healthcare provider data and market insights to inform negotiation strategies Identifying opportunities to improve healthcare provider partnerships and healthcare (funding and product) propositions Building strong working relationships with external and internal stakeholders Contributing to healthcare provider contracting strategies and partnership models Representing Southern Cross health Insurance at conferences and industry events What you’ll bring This role works closely with healthcare providers, so credibility in the health sector is important. You may come from a clinical, healthcare services, or healthcare commercial background, and understand how healthcare providers operate. Many people in similar roles have previously worked as physiotherapists, nurses, or within healthcare or pharmaceutical organisations, and have experience engaging with providers and navigating the healthcare system. Alongside this healthcare sector knowledge, we’re looking for someone who can combine relationship management, negotiation, and strategic thinking. You’ll likely bring: Experience working within the healthcare sector or closely with healthcare providers Strong relationship management skills and the ability to build trust with external stakeholders Confidence leading commercial discussions and negotiations The ability to analyse market and provider data and use insights to inform negotiation strategies Strong critical thinking and judgement, particularly when navigating complex provider conversations The credibility to engage confidently with healthcare providers who are highly knowledgeable in their field Who we are Ngākau nui.
