Description
We are launching a new agricultural inputs marketplace in partnership with Piraeus Bank, and we're looking for a driven Partnerships Manager to accelerate growth on both the supply and demand sides of the platform. Your mission is to identify, negotiate, and close strategic partnerships that bring scale, whether that means onboarding agricultural cooperatives with thousands of farmer members or signing distribution agreements with major agrochemical and equipment brands. This is a high-impact, externally-focused role for someone who thrives on building relationships and closing deals. Responsibilities Partnership Development & Business Development Identify and prioritize high-impact partnership opportunities across the agricultural value chain Build and manage a pipeline of potential partners, including agricultural cooperatives, producer organizations, agricultural input manufacturers, and retail networks Develop tailored partnership proposals and commercial models for different partner types Demand-Side Partnerships (Farmers & Cooperatives) Engage with agricultural cooperatives and farmer associations to drive platform adoption among their members Present the marketplace value proposition to cooperative leadership and negotiate onboarding agreements Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth cooperative member activation Supply-Side Partnerships (Brands & Manufacturers) Approach major agricultural input companies (e.g., seeds, fertilizers, crop protection, machinery, equipment) to establish distribution or referral partnerships Negotiate agreements where brands promote the marketplace to their existing retail and dealer networks Explore co-marketing opportunities, exclusive product launches, or preferential commercial terms Deal Structuring & Closing Lead negotiations and close partnership agreements, including commercial terms, exclusivity clauses, and performance commitments Collaborate with legal and finance to finalize contracts Track partnership performance and optimize agreements over time Market Intelligence Stay informed on the agricultural inputs market, competitive landscape, and emerging trends in Greece Identify new verticals, geographies, or partner categories that could drive marketplace growth Provide feedback to product and operations teams based on partner needs and market insights Requirements 4-7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or B2B sales, ideally in agriculture, marketplaces, FMCG distribution, or a related industry Proven track record of identifying, negotiating, and closing commercial partnerships Strong network or ability to quickly build relationships in the Greek agricultural sector (cooperatives, agronomists, input suppliers) Excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable presenting to C-level executives and cooperative boards alike Commercial acumen with the ability to structure creative deals Self-starter who can work independently and manage a complex pipeline Fluent in Greek; English proficiency required Willingness to travel within Greece to meet partners Nice to have Existing relationships with agricultural cooperatives or major agri-input brands in Greece Experience working in or with agricultural cooperatives Background in marketplace or platform businesses Understanding of the agricultural inputs market (seeds, fertilizers, plant protection, machinery) What we offer A unique opportunity to shape a new marketplace backed by a major financial institution High visibility and direct impact on company growth Competitive base salary plus performance-based incentives Autonomy and ownership of the partnerships function A dynamic, entrepreneurial team environment
