Description

Our ideal candidate will possess 2+ years in parts department, possess a willingness to learn, and is invested in the growth of our business and the local automotive industry.
This position is responsible for the efficiency of the parts department by managing inventory accuracy and stock levels to ensure smooth operation of the service department. The parts advisor must manage all incoming and outgoing parts inventory through internal company database accordingly for dealership.

REQUIREMENTS:

2+ years of dealer experience in automotive environment.
Experience with both OEM and aftermarket parts
Inventory control experience
Proven ability to take initiative and execute on plans
Ability to operate independently, multitask and manage time efficiently
Strong computer skills are required, and attention to detail
Functional literacy and capability of recognizing part numbers and line codes to ensure the proper selection of parts
Able to work retail hours including scheduled evenings, weekends and holidays
Perform other related duties as required by management

Responsibilities

Support the various Sales offices/customers
Work with other functions across the company to provide answers and quotations where needed
Responsible for providing customer service support and directing customers to the correct contact as needed
Identifies replacement components for customers using Bills of Material in company parts and inventory system, online parts manuals and other resources
Provides customer assistance with replacement parts issues and manage information for entry into computer systems (i.e. determining lead times, accuracy of data, availability, possible substitutions and upgrades, closing out order, etc).
Coordinate parts availability and shipment with corporate facility or warehouse
Coordinate customer order issues with the parts planning and order entry
