We are looking for a Parts Advisor to join our Kendall Used Vehicle Reconditioning team. At the Kendall Used Vehicle Reconditioning facilities, our parts and service personnel assist throughout our internal dealer network by providing a steady stream of high quality, inspected, reconditioned and lot ready inventory for our sales teams. We are seeking candidates with automotive parts experience. Duties will include maintaining parts inventory control, use of electronic parts catalogues & dealership systems, checking in parts, stocking shelves, assisting technicians with parts needs, and obtaining parts information, creating invoices, processing orders, returns and parts warranties. You will be working with technicians closely, the ability to communicate effectively, make recommendations, and prioritize items in order of importance is required. Work is generally performed indoors. Some work is in a shop environment, and may have exposure to cool or hot conditions, elevated noise levels, and fumes and. May spend most of work shift working with PCs and video display screens. Use telephone frequently. Standing/walking for short distances: 1/2 to entire work shift on hard surfaces. Sitting: Up to 1/4 of work shift on high or low elevation stool or in vehicle. Carrying: frequently, up to 20 pounds for up to 200 feet; rarely, up to 50 pounds for up to 20 feet. Lifting: frequently, up 20 pounds; rarely, up to 50 pounds. Bending and twisting: occasionally, to access some storage areas. Squatting/kneeling: occasionally, on hard and soft surfaces. Climbing: rarely, ladders to six feet. Reaching above shoulder height: occasionally. Hearing and speech capability adequate to converse with clients in person and by telephone.
