Description At Freeman Jet Center-Abilene, we provide services for general aviation customers at Abilene Regional Airport (KABI). Our customers are pilots, passengers and crew who arrive and depart by private aircraft. Our Parts Assistant greets customers, accepts payments, and handles various administrative and service-oriented details. The job includes regular detailed parts research, computer work, and processing basic financial transactions. This position requires excellent communication skills, expedient responsiveness, attention to detail, a cheerful and enthusiastic personality to make all customers feel welcome, while ensuring their business needs are met with the utmost in attentiveness and professionalism. Our parts department provides online, in-person, and telephonic parts services to a wide range of customers and our in-house maintenance department. Requirements Parts Assistant Qualifications: Previous parts experience preferred but not required. Must be able to work effectively with numbers to handle payment processing, invoicing and the associated computer entries and paperwork efficiently and accurately. Must have experience providing top-quality customer service in a face-to-face setting. Friendly and attentive personality Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills Experience with conflict-resolution in a customer service environment Exceptional ability to attend to details Computer skills, e.g., POS systems, accounting systems, Excel Ability to multi-task effectively, interacting with customers, answering phones, and attending to computer work. Parts Assistant Duties Include: Extensive parts research ensuring customer needs are met. Handling telephone calls with customer-oriented level of service Data entry and other computer work, communication with customers via email, track inventory and process financial transactions. Excellent attention to detail while ensuring timely and efficient service. Connecting clients to appropriate personnel or third-party vendors for further service needs Performing administrative support tasks Maintaining professionalism Providing safe and clean parts area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations Able to lift 25 lbs. Shipping & receiving Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 per hour/DOE Benefits: Full-time hours, with some overtime, including occasional weekends.
