Roberts Farm Equipment is looking for a Parts Associate to join the team at our Chesley, ON location!

Parts Counter Duties:
- Initiates and contributes to parts and service programs that maximize the growth of parts and labour (service related) sales while maintaining current customer base and fostering new customer relationships
- Charges prices accurately for all parts sold to customers
- Records parts and prices accurately on sales orders and work orders
- Counts and accounts for all daily parts’ receipts
- Ensures that credits are issued to the customer promptly and accurately
- Shelves orders promptly and properly
- Keeps current on manufacturers’ terms and discounts
- Keeps current on all parts, manuals and price updates as changes are made
- Returns parts promptly and within the company guidelines
- Identifies and tags defective parts
- Receives and accurately records parts from stock orders and daily orders
- Maintains knowledge related to various parts and features of the equipment to ensure customer satisfaction
- Advises customers of substitutions or aftermarket parts when original replacements are not available
- Examines and returns parts cores per dealership policy
- Ensures that parts programs are up-to date and that they are ready to use
- Prints and reviews part reports to ensure stock inventory levels at all times and places orders as needed Ensures that parts are consistently ordered and received in a timely manner using proper purchase order protocol
- Responsible for taking “on call”/pager duties and responsibilities, on rotation, as assigned
Shop Parts Duties:
- Coordinates with Service Technicians to determine parts needed to complete work orders and orders parts as required
- Consults catalogs or computer databases in order to determine replacement part stock numbers and prices
- Communicates effectively with and provides service to Service Technicians in person or over the phone Contacts suppliers for parts’ pricing and availability
- Reviews work orders with Technicians to ensure that parts information is correct and complete
- Ensures that unused parts and/or cores are returned in a timely fashion using company guidelines and policies
- Marks and stores parts in stockrooms according to prearranged systems for ease of access
- Ensures general stock is maintained at adequate levels
- Delivers parts to Field Service Technicians, as required
Inventory Duties:
- Keeps the inventory control system up to date and accurate
- Participates in cycle counting of inventory and making corrections to inventory if discrepancies are found
- Keeps track of lost sales
- Creates waybills and schedules couriers to pick up parcels and tracks missing packages
General Duties:
- Keeps current on product bulletins and catalogue changes
- Assists in developing marketing programs for aftermarket promotions
- Promotes Parts Department and Service Departments merchandising programs
- Assists and trains staff, as required
- Maintains showroom by stocking new merchandise daily, or as required
- Maintains complete knowledge of and complies with company policies, procedures and standards
- Reviews job processes and practices to ensure continuous improvement to the company’s products, services, quality and efficiencies
- Maintains customer and company confidence by keeping information confidential and secure
- Organizes and cleans the parts in the showroom to maintain cleanliness
- Keeps the Parts Department neat, clean and safe at all times
- Develops and maintains an efficient, current file and record management system both for electronic and paper correspondence and documents
- Maintains complete knowledge of and complies with company policies, procedures and standards
- Reviews job processes and practices to ensure continuous improvement to the company’s products, services, quality and efficiency
- Maintains customer and company confidence by keeping information confidential and secure
- Maintains a positive working relationship with team members and management in a team environment
- Sets an example for the other staff of the Dealership by arriving to work on time, leaving at the appropriate time, keeping appointments, respecting the time of others and behaving in a professional manner
