POSITION SUMMARY:

The Store’s Logistics Coordinator will work with the Chief Engineer and the Senior Stores Clerk in the functions of the stores department and he/she will be required to monitor, acquire, inventory, control and safeguard parts, supplies and documents used in the daily operations of the company, including entry of parts into computer inventory system ensuring that the computer inventory of all on hand materials is kept accurate. He/ She will also be responsible for ensuring that communication and logistical systems within the supply chain are running efficiently, as well as assisting the SCM with special projects with an emphasis on International Operations.

REQUIREMENTS:

Formal Education Requirements

  • High School, College diploma or University degree.
  • Supply Chain Management (PMAC)

RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 3 years working as a Store clerk.
  • Experience in aviation is an asset.

LICENSES / CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS / COURSES

  • Valid driver’s license.
  • WHIMS, Dangerous Goods, First aid CPR.
Responsibilities
  • Work with customs brokers and track temporary imports/ exports
  • Work with our International Stakeholders to ensure delivery of shipments is efficient as well as develop cost containment strategies.
  • Develop systems for tracking orders, back-orders, ETA, and shipment status. As well as communicate this information effectively to internal and external customers.
  • Develop relationships with different suppliers and assist in the negotiations of new agreements.
  • Shall ensure that all parts being received or shipped are in compliance with the company’s Policy and Procedures manual.
  • Picking of Parts being issued to all engineers and/or assigned to the appropriate aircraft;
  • Ensure that all parts being issued are captured as in-house or chargeback;
  • Prepare all shipments and ensure that the packaging of these items is properly packed;
  • Prepare all shipments, ensuring that these items are in compliance with the Dangerous Goods regulations;
  • Ensure that all parts have arrived at their proper destination;
  • Ensure that the shipping and receiving of parts are being done in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all parts are safely stored in the appropriate bin locations.
  • Receives, distributes and delivers parts by ensuring the most efficient and economical means are used;
  • Receives oral and written requests from staff for parts and works with them to fulfill needs;
  • Ensuring that an appropriate filing system is in place and up to date for all paperwork and reports pertaining to the Stores department;
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate records of all goods shipped, received and stored;
  • Ensures storage of stock in correct locations;
  • Assists in planning storage space utilization, storage aid requirements;
  • Maintains the work area to ensure it is safe and orderly;
  • After-hours or work on weekends may be required from time to time;
  • Assist with Operational requirements as and when requested in a timely manner.

Performs all duties with a level of interpersonal skills appropriate to the position;

  • Maintains a safe, clean, orderly, clutter-free workplace;
  • Other duties as assigned by Director of Maintenance and/or designate.
