About the Role: The Parts Controller will oversee inventory management and distribution of parts needed for production processes. You will work closely with production lines in out welding and final assembly departments. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth operations and preventing production delays due to parts shortages. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Spot checking parts inventory levels (bins/floor) Verifying parts inventory counts in bins - if count does not match inventory records, you must recount - if count totals remain "off" or inconsistent, report any and all discrepancies Send email to Fab Shop to request parts needed or if inventory (parts supplied by Fab Shop) is low Request / pick up parts from warehouse when needed Perform transfers in Epicor when receiving parts into production line inventory Processing Kanban receipts Place parts on pick lists and hot lists when needed Review production schedule and shortage reports to assure parts are on order with supplier (expedite if necessary) Practice 5S on the production line Must be willing to take charge in the parts area to troubleshoot problems (1 - Kanban card not turned in 2 - a BOM issue 3 - Too many parts on hand to drive the demand to create a job for parts) Requirements Qualifications: Inventory experience Cycle counting experience is a plus Knowledge of warehouse/inventory software (Epicor a plus) Ability to process Kanban receipts 5S Computer knowledge (MS Office Suite) Benefits Include: Weekly pay Medical / Dental / Vision Insurance Short- and Long-Term Disability Insurance Life and AD&D Insurance 401K with company match Tuition Reimbursement
