PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Familiarity with Cetaris Maintenance Software, Excelerator, Repair Link, Mack/Volvo PartsASIST (preferred but not required)
• Mechanical knowledge of Class 8 Trucks/Trailers (preferred but not required)

  We are seeking a Parts Specialist to join our team in Virginia. This role is essential for ensuring that our operations run smoothly by managing inventory and supply chain processes effectively. The Parts Specialist will contribute significantly to our mission of delivering exceptional service to our customers.

QUALIFICATIONS

Proven experience in supply chain management or inventory management. Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.

• Excellent negotiation skills with suppliers.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and order management systems preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Customer service-oriented mindset.
• Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Utilize Cetaris Maintenance software to manage parts, warranties, and core returns
• Forecast and order parts to maintain optimal inventory levels
• Monitor inventory usage and costs to ensure efficiency and control expenses
• Negotiate pricing with vendors to support profitability and long-term partnerships
• Manage vendor accounts to ensure accurate support, timely deliveries, and fair pricing
• Receive, label, and organize parts into inventory with accuracy
• Assist technicians in identifying and sourcing the correct parts for repairs
• Oversee special orders, backorders, warranty claims, and core returns
• Collaborate with technicians to ensure all necessary parts are available for safe and timely repairs
• Answer calls from drivers needing emergency road service, ensuring their safety and arranging repairs quickly
