MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma, G.E.D., or foreign equivalent and four (4) years of experience in a similar position as listed in the work functions.
OR
Combination of education and experience equivalent to four (4) years of experience in a similar position as listed in the work functions.
Regular and reliable attendance is a necessary component of job/position. Individuals required to use County vehicles and equipment must have a valid driver’s license and be free of any major traffic violations for the last three (3) years.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of procurement systems and inventory processes.
  • Knowledge of industrial facilities.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, boilers, and generators.
  • Skill in the use of computers and technology including CMMS and general office software.
  • Skill in effective verbal and written communication.
  • Skill in working with internal and external contacts.
  • Skill in negotiation.
  • Ability to work efficiently with attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings.
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to develop and maintain accurate records.
