Description

Dependable Truck & Tank Limited was founded in 1975 and is, as it was, a family owned and operated business. Our innovative design and engineering concepts allow us to manufacture highway tankers, trailers and emergency vehicles to our client’s specifications. Along with our manufacturing capabilities, Dependable is a large supplier of petroleum equipment for both the carrier and contractor industries in both commercial and residential installs.
We are currently looking for an experienced Parts Counter Person for our new state-of-the-art facility in Dartmouth.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Two (2) years of experience in heavy truck and/or automotive parts.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of filling out waybills and bills of lading and international shipments.
  • Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
  • Computer literacy, including working skills of Excel and e-mail.
  • Good organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
Responsibilities
  • Placing technicians’ orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
  • Filling requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributing items to shipping or to designated route driver storage area.
  • Ensuring store is accessible and safe for employee and customer traffic.
  • Assembling customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or relocating orders to a holding area or shipping department.
  • Opening bales, crates, and other containers.
  • Recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.
  • Assisting in counting of physical inventory.
  • May be assigned facilities’ maintenance duties as needed.
  • Organizing warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
  • Responds to inquiries of staff for the purpose of providing information and/or direction regarding the status of deliveries, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
