Fitzgerald Peterbilt currently employs over 150 employees throughout our various locations that include Huntsville, Birmingham, Gadsden, and Montgomery in Alabama, Bristol and Fancy Gap in Virginia and in Cookeville, Tennessee.    A parts counter job involves assisting customers and technicians in identifying and purchasing parts, managing inventory, and processing sales transactions. Key duties include greeting customer, using parts catalogs, handling inquires and quotes, managing inventory levels, and keeping the sales area organized. This role requires strong customer service skills, a solid understanding of automotive or equipment parts, and attention to detail. Primary Responsibilities: * Customer and technician assistance: * Greet customers, help them find the correct parts, answer phone inquiries, and provide price quotes * Sales and transactions: * Process sales, generate invoices, handle payments, and manage returns or exchanges * Inventory management: * Use parts catalogs and computer systems to look up parts, track inventory levels, receive new stock, and inform the manager of low stock * Customer Service * Handle complaints professionally, provide information on product features and warranties, and build customer relationships * Workspace upkeep: * Keep the parts counter, showroom, and storage areas clean and organized Required skills and qualifications: * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Customer-centric attitude and professional conduct * Basic understanding of automotive or equipment parts and systems * Ability to use parts catalogs and inventory management software * Attention to detail for managing inventory and processing sales accurately * Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment * Physical ability to lift items up to a certain weight (e.g., 75 lbs.) may be required Benefits: * Paid Vacation * Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life insurance  * 401K * Paid Holidays
