Job Summary The Parts Delivery Driver is responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of parts to customers, as well as the pickup of parts from approved suppliers. This position requires the ability to operate a company vehicle safely and maintain an acceptable motor vehicle record in accordance with company and insurance standards. Key Job Responsibilities Safely transport and deliver automotive parts to customers, wholesale accounts, and approved suppliers in accordance with company policies and applicable safety regulations. Confirm delivery schedules and coordinate any required last-minute pickups or deliveries prior to departure. Assist with the selection and preparation of customer orders upon request. Verify that invoices accurately correspond with associated purchase orders prior to each pickup or delivery. Confirm receipt and accuracy of payments collected in conjunction with deliveries, in compliance with company procedures. Maintain accurate and complete records of all daily pickups and deliveries, including obtaining recipient signatures as required. Unload delivery vehicles and submit all related documentation, including undelivered parts and paperwork, at the completion of assigned routes. Support inventory operations by assisting with stocking and posting incoming orders to facilitate timely distribution to shop technicians and retail accounts. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor or management. Requirements Minimum of two (2) years of experience in customer service and/or delivery services. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Ability to read, write, and communicate proficiently in English, consistent with job-related business necessity. Working knowledge of basic mathematical concepts, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, using common units of measurement; ability to understand and apply fractions and decimal values. Prior experience with automotive parts is preferred but not required. High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalent is preferred. Possession of a valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle record, as determined through a Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) review. Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, technology-driven service environment. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including across geographically dispersed or remote teams.
