Overview Parts Dispatcher Sureway Construction is one of Alberta’s largest heavy construction contractors, involved in; civil earthworks and grading, utilities and offsite, mine operation and aggregate extraction. We offer: Benefits, RRSP/TFSA Matching, Boot Allowance, and a state-of-the-art shop to work in Job Type: Full Time, Permanent Schedule: 10+ Hours/day, Saturdays and Sundays as required, Schedule as per Operational Requirements, OT after 8hr/day or 44hr/week Location: 9175 – 14 Street NW, Edmonton, AB - no direct access to public transportation Essential: Hard-working, reliable, flexible with schedule, ability to work in physically demanding conditions Requirements: Personal Reliable Vehicle CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support Pre-employment: Drug and alcohol testing (swab-based test) Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation Fitness to Work Assessment Parts Dispatcher Responsibilities: Coordinate and organize a team of 5-10 drivers. Utilizing GPS system for tracking billable hours for 3rd parties. Develop delivery routes and maintain contact with drivers throughout the day to ensure they're well supported during deliveries. Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external shop clients. Collaborate with management to modify daily routes to accommodate the needs of clients. Monitor any sudden route changes or road construction issues and work with drivers to establish new routes for timely deliveries. Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.
