We’re seeking an experienced and detail-driven Parts Interpreter to join our client’s team, based in Mackay. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in delivering top-tier customer service and ensuring clients receive the right parts at the right time. With your knowledge of heavy machinery - particularly Caterpillar equipment - you’ll help maintain the client’s reputation for reliability, accuracy, and service excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional service that reflects the value of Caterpillar products
  • Accurately identify and source parts.
  • Provide factual technical information - no opinions or diagnoses.
  • Keep customers informed on part availability, order status, and expiring quotes.
  • Ensure timely and professional phone service and follow-ups.
  • Adhere to company credit policies and process transactions accurately.
  • Maximise parts availability through efficient sourcing and smart shipping decisions.
  • Support daily operations, including clerical tasks, returns, and inventory checks.
  • Promptly resolve and report customer complaints.
  • Actively promote related parts and refer sales leads to relevant teams.
