About the role

Japanese Truck & Bus Spares Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Parts Interpreter to join our team in Bibra Lake, Western Australia. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our operations, bridging the gap between customers, technicians, and our extensive inventory of Japanese truck and bus spare parts. As a Parts Interpreter, you will be instrumental in ensuring that customers receive the correct components for their vehicles, whilst supporting our business objectives of delivering exceptional service and maintaining strong customer relationships within the automotive trades sector.

What you'll be doing

• Interpreting and translating technical documentation, parts catalogues, and service manuals from Japanese manufacturers into clear, actionable information for customers and internal teams
• Identifying and locating the correct spare parts for Japanese trucks and buses based on customer enquiries, vehicle specifications, and parts diagrams
• Liaising between customers, technicians, and suppliers to clarify parts requirements and resolve any discrepancies or technical issues
• Maintaining accurate records of parts information, customer requests, and inventory data
• Providing technical advice and guidance to customers regarding parts compatibility, specifications, and installation requirements
• Assisting with the organisation and cataloguing of parts inventory to ensure efficient stock management
• Supporting the sales team by providing detailed parts information to facilitate customer transactions
• Contributing to the development and improvement of internal systems and documentation for parts interpretation and identification
