Description At Boomerang Marine & Sports, we are looking for an experienced Parts Manager to lead and operate our Parts Department in a way that supports our customers, employees, and overall company performance. This role is responsible for driving profitability, maintaining accurate inventory, developing team members, and ensuring smooth daily operations. We’re looking for a Parts Manager who… Has strong marine and/or powersports product knowledge and inventory control experience Provides excellent customer service and resolves concerns professionally Is reliable, professional, respectful, and courteous at all times Is comfortable leading, coaching, and developing a team Thrives in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment Has strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Strictly adheres to company policies and procedures Key Responsibilities: Operate the Parts Department to produce a reasonable profit and return on investment Monitor departmental performance and communicate progress to team members Establish competitive pricing strategies for parts and accessories Manage departmental expenses and implement effective cost control programs Ensure the department is properly staffed and trained at all times Coach employees and address performance issues quickly and effectively Ensure cross-training so Parts team members can support all department functions Keep catalogs, bulletins, product information, pricing, and programs up to date Maintain strong working product knowledge to support customers and staff Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and flows efficiently between departments Maintain accurate and controlled parts inventory levels Oversee parts returns, warranty material returns, and purchasing practices Conduct random 50-part inventory count inspections Perform additional duties as needed to support business operations Boomerang Marine & Sports, with locations in Melrose and Alexandria, MN, is a family-owned marine and powersports dealership.
