Description Pay Range: $20-25/ hour POSITION SUMMARY Parts Manager is responsible for ordering parts, managing inventory, and providing customer service to vendors and technicians. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS · Order parts for shop location. · Audit and verify purchase invoices and ensure that all purchases are properly accounted for before submitting for payment. · Manage inventory in our shop. · Monitors and adjusts inventory to minimize obsolescence. · Manage the administrative help in the shop. · Maintain a well-organized parts floor and ensure parts are easily accessible. · Handles packaging and shipping of returned items for shop, drivers and/or office (i.e. FedEx, UPS, SpeeDee, etc.). · Implement cost-effective strategies to optimize parts inventory and reduce excess stock. · Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in the parts department. · Ensure all information given is accurate. · Be sufficient in our company’s inventory. · Establish and maintain strong relationships with parts suppliers. · Other duties as assigned or directed by Supervisor. Requirements Education · High School Diploma or the equivalent. Experience · One year of clerical or administrative experience. · Experience in a shop or maintenance equipment environment preferred but not required. · Ability to type a minimum of 35 wpm. · Data entry skills (10-key). · Able to read, write, and speak the English language fluently. Strong planning and organization skills. Ability to listen and build relationships. Professional verbal and written communication skills.
