JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Parts Manager to oversee our parts department operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dealership environments and possess excellent skills in procurement, inventory management, and customer service. This role requires a proactive approach to sourcing and negotiating with suppliers to ensure the availability of high-quality parts while maintaining efficient supply chain processes.

EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience in a dealership environment is highly preferred.
• Strong background in data entry, purchasing, procurement, and supply chain management.
• Proficiency in negotiation skills with a proven track record of successful supplier relationships.
• Mechanical knowledge is essential; familiarity with HVAC systems is a plus.
• Experience in manufacturing processes or environments is beneficial.
• Ability to operate a forklift safely is required.

• Manage the daily operations of the parts department, ensuring efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee inventory management, including data entry and demand planning to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to source parts effectively while negotiating favorable terms with suppliers.
• Collaborate with service technicians to understand parts requirements and ensure timely availability of necessary components.
• Utilize ERP systems and CMMS for tracking inventory levels, orders, and supplier performance.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, processing orders, and resolving any issues related to parts supply.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions and ensure compliance with dealership policies and procedures.
• Train and mentor staff on best practices in inventory management, sourcing, and customer interaction.
