We are looking for a Parts Manager to join our team at our Walton, ON location!
Reporting to the Manager of Parts Operations, the Parts Manager is responsible for leading the Parts team and supporting all branch Parts activities. The Parts Manager is responsible for overseeing, planning, and implementing processes and projects related directly and indirectly to the designated branch.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Strong understanding of agricultural and construction equipment with good mechanical aptitude
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a fast-paced retail/wholesale sales environment
  • Previous experience in a leadership role is considered an asset
  • Must be comfortable with current technology. Proficient with the following computer environments: Microsoft Office (including Outlook), Internet Explorer and Google Chrome Browsers, Online Parts Catalogues
  • Knowledge of CDK Business System is considered an asset
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside the box
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (written & verbal) skills
  • Strong leadership and management skills and/or capabilities
  • Strong understanding of the parts sales environment and inventory controls processes
  • High numerical aptitude and an excellent ability to use numbers as a basis in reasoning and analysis
  • Excellent prioritization, initiative, and time management skills
  • Must be highly organized with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure with simultaneous deadlines
  • Ability to create an engaging working environment which is both respectful and sets a high standard for performance
  • Ability to ensure confidentiality of team members, company information and customer information
  • Demonstrates a professional demeanor, respect and commitment to service excellence
  • Ability to work cohesively with employees and managers as part of a team

Responsibilities:

MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP DUTIES:

  • Responsible for leading and supervising the Parts team at designated branch, including but not limited to; recruitment and selection, orientation and on-boarding, training, and assigning/directing work
  • Ensures profitability and effectiveness of the department through the management of parts systems and processes with adherence to budget expectations and inventory control
  • Collaborates with the Service Department to identify issues or room for improvement to maintain work flow
  • Ensures company policies and procedures are followed

PARTS DUTIES:

  • Ensures adherence to all parts policies and procedures
  • Reviews and corrects parts pricing difference
  • Follows order processing procedures accurately and efficiently
  • Ensures cleanliness of Parts area
  • Assists with shipping and receiving duties, as needed
  • Assists Parts counter sales team with product knowledge and customer service as needed
  • Reviews any parts promotions and communicates them with the Parts team
  • Reviews all stock and creates orders on a daily basis
  • Initiates inter-store transfers and ensures procedures are followed
  • Ensures showroom displays are current
  • Ensures monthly completion of returns
  • Ensures monthly inventory is counted, as well as updating cycle counts
  • Ensures all paperwork is completed in a timely and efficient manner; information is accurate and legible
  • Stays certified and current with OEM Manufacturer training
  • Provide support on parts counter & shop parts counter as required

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Develops and maintains an efficient, current file and record management system both for electronic and paper correspondence and documents
  • Maintains complete knowledge of and complies with company policies, procedures and standards
  • Reviews job processes and practices to ensure continuous improvement to the company’s products, services, quality and efficiencies
  • Maintains customer and company confidence by keeping information confidential and secure
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with team members and management in a team environment
  • Discusses ideas/suggestions/concerns immediately with Manager of Parts Operations
  • Sets a leadership example in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational and selling skills, performance and work habits
  • Sets an example for the other staff of the dealership by arriving to work on time, leaving at the appropriate time, keeping appointments, respecting the time of others and behaving in a professional manner

    Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
