What You'll Do: * Communicates with shop foreman and/or mechanics to order parts as required. * Reads shop manuals and parts catalogs to ascertain type and specification of part. * Contacts suppliers by phone, online, or in person to obtain parts and supplies as directed by supervisor. * Compares invoices against requisition to verify quality and quantity of merchandise received. Codes invoices for cost accounting. * Stores purchased parts in storeroom bins and issues parts to workers as required. * Keeps records of parts received and issued, and inventories as directed. * Records repair time expended by mechanics. What We're Looking For: Required Education, Experience and/or Abilities * Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and vendors. * Proficiency in basic math; including fractions, percentages, etc. * Ability to identify cross reference material. Preferred Education, Experience and/or Abilities * Experience in parts supply. Computer Skills * Basic computer skills with Excel and Word experience preferred. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations * Possession of a valid driver’s license. Additional Eligibility Qualifications * English language fluency, verbal and written. * Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol test.
