Who we’re looking for Toyota’s Production Control Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Parts Ordering Analyst. The primary responsibility of this role is Inventory Management that includes detailed parts evaluation on various part issues such as Quality Problems, Part Spills, Manufacturing equipment issues which lead to short shipments, packaging issues, etc. The person in this role will support the Production Control department's objective to ensure the parts that are required for production are available when needed. This position is based in Blue Springs, MS. The selected candidate will be expected to reside within a commutable distance of this location. What you’ll be doing Manage operation/function. (What will be the key operational/functional responsibility): Inventory Management that includes detailed parts evaluation on various parts issues (Quality Problem, Parts Spills, Manufacturing Equipment issues which lead to short shipments, packaging issues, etc) Daily interaction with multiple internal production departments and overall coordination of North American Parts for TMMMS. Order tracking to ensure zero flow out conditions at TMMMS (this includes working directly with the suppliers and LPs to coordinate expedite shipments) and making evaluations on the best recovery method. Engineering Change Instruction (ECI) – Database maintenance and implementation to ensure minimal obsolescence and no downtime for TMMMS. Parts shortage recovery that includes making the final decision on how to recover (EX: Expedite Carrier, Air Freight, Supplement, etc.) to meet our zero-downtime target and continue to meet expedite cost target. Manage projects Lead Kaizen for areas of responsibility within Parts Ordering group. Liaison for TMMMS Parts ordering for projects with TMNA. Manage part buildout and startup at model change. Manage processes Create supplement orders for missing or damaged freight. Procure and manage freight expedites to meet production timing. Resolve part shortage with internal investigation. Resolve problems Work with suppliers and 3PL vendors to communicate and resolve part flow issues. Indicate Lead-time Requirement of parts to meet production request. Resolve ordering issues related to parts calculations, scrap, production swings. Maintain flexibility to manage the unknown, new projects, and crisis situations (including reflection) What you bring Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a STEM Related or Supply Chain discipline Production Control experience for manufacturing Supply Chain Management experience Project management experience, including creating and managing project schedule and tracking KPIs through completed project Experience leading coordination meetings with all levels of management to ensure production volumes are met on time Experience taking large amounts of data / information and summarize to the necessary audience, including reporting out to executive level Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint Ability to support all shifts, weekends and shutdown as needed Added bonus if you have Logistics experience (Internal or External) Toyota Experience, co-op, intern and/or team member Toyota Business Practice (TBP) completion or similar such as Six Sigma, etc. What we’ll bring During your interview process, our team can fill you in on all the details of our industry-leading benefits and career development opportunities.
