Description POSITION SUMMARY/PURPOSE: The polisher uses various tools, stones, abrasives to polish various die bodies, feed blocks and other assigned parts. Must pay attention to detail and consistency of polishing. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner. Adhere to Cloeren safety policies and procedure Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions Polish parts using stones, abrasives and other material Polish in such a way as to maintain consistency across the finish of the part Clean assigned parts and maintains a neat work area Perform limited maintenance work as assigned by supervisor Occasionally, will breakdown or assemble various parts Some forklift operation Must attend fork lift training Ability to adjust vision focus; detect, determine, perceive, recognize, observe, inspect, estimate/assess Wear uniform Other duties as requested Requirements WORK REQUIREMENT: Language skills; must be able to effectively communicate, convey and understand job instructions both verbally and written in the English Language preferred. Interpret; ability to effectively and accurately interpret, convey and express oneself in the exchange ideas in a respectful and professional manner. Mathematical skills; ability to perform basic math Reasoning ability; ability to define problems, collect data, establishes facts Ability to read and comprehend shop drawings Knowledge of safety practices and hazards related to machine operations Ability to operate a variety of hand tools Ability to meet production goals and complete tasks Knowledge of mechanical tools Ability to work overtime when required WORKING CONDITIONS: Climate controlled atmosphere Noise level; moderate to high Must be able to stand 12 hours per shift Ability to use hands and arms in repetitive fashion 12 entire 12 hour shift REQUIRED PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE) WHILE IN THE SHOPS: Safety Glasses Steel Toe Boots or upper leather shoes oil and slip resistant Ear Plugs as needed Gloves as needed Hard Hat as needed Requirements Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED a must. Trade school graduate a plus, manufacturing shop experience a plus Minimum Experience Qualifications: 0 to 1 year work experience. Manufacturing shop highly preferred. SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS Shift work Standing on feet for 12 hours Utilizes hands and arms 12 hours during work shift Fork lift certification or previous training PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Using hands, fingers to handle or feel Move, traverse (walking) Must be able to remain in a stationary position 100% of time (standing) Position self to; move (stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling) when required Communicate, detect, converse, discern, convey, express oneself, exchange information (talking/hear) Ability to lift 50lbs and carry 75 feet Ability to adjust vision focus; detect, determine, perceive, recognize, observe, inspect, estimate/assess
