SUMMARY: A Parts Room Supervisor oversees part room clerks and manages activity at the counter. Will assist in managing the inventory, distribution of parts and supplies within Parts Room. This role is crucial for ensuring a smooth flow of materials, maintaining appropriate inventory levels, and optimizing operational efficiency. They lead teams and will be responsible for training and task assignments. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This list is not intended to be all-inclusive, and other duties may be assigned.   • Inventory Management: Overseeing the team’s storage and distribution of parts and supplies. • Inventory Control: Maintaining accurate records, tracking stock levels, and ensuring timely availability of parts. • Team Leadership: Leading a team of parts room staff, including training and task assignments. • Supplier Coordination: creating requisitions, coordinating orders, and ensuring timely delivery. Assisting Purchasing and Accounting when needed. • Quality Control: Ensuring purchased parts are the correct parts that meet quality standards and specifications. • Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of inventory, transactions, and other relevant documentation. • Budget Management: Assisting with managing the budget for parts and supplies, ensuring cost-effectiveness. • Problem Solving: Addressing issues related to inventory shortages, supply chain disruptions, or other problems that arise. • Safety and Compliance: Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards related to the storage and handling of parts. • Optimization: Continuously seeking ways to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall parts room operations.   QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: B.S. Degree preferred. Must have a minimum of three (3) years experience ideally gained through increasingly responsible positions. Proficient in all Microsoft Office products, especially Excel   EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Must have a High School Diploma or a GED equivalent qualification from an accredited institution and 1-2 years of experience in a leadership/supervisory role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience is inventory management a plus.   COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to write reports and business correspondence; ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines.   LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents in the English language such as safety files, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Must be able to effectively communicate with the vendors, customers, production and management personnel.   REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram and or schedule form.   OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to use computers and all standard programs used by the industry and the ability to learn and effectively use any and all other computer programs that are or will be made available.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to move about the facility. The employee is required to sit; use hands to finger; handle; or feel/hold objects; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; speak; hear taste and smell. Employee may occasionally lift push/pull up to fifty (50) pounds   NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE: The hours and days of work are established as needed by operations and at the discretion of management and, while generally as shown below, may be changed (increased or decreased) by management as required.
