Welcome to Melbourne North Truck Centre, the latest addition to the extremely successful Hallam and Bayswater Truck Centres. As a full-service Kenworth and DAF Truck dealership, we offer new truck sales, parts, and mechanical servicing, proudly serving the North of Melbourne, including Somerton and Ballarat territories. Currently operating from our interim location on Hume Highway in Somerton, we are eagerly anticipating the completion of our state-of-the-art dealership in 2028 in Mickleham, which is set to revolutionise the truck sales and service customer experience in Melbourne.
About the role
As a Parts Sales Representative, you will champion customer relations in a way that provides the best customer experience. In providing excellent customer service, you will continue to build and service our client base in a way that is best practice.
This is a permanent full-time position based from our TRP Somerton & Melbourne North Truck Centre dealerships. You will have responsibility of driving our heavy parts product growth to our existing customers as well as sourcing new business opportunities. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide customers with a WIN-WIN customer after sales experience to new and existing customers
  • Provide reliable information to clients in regard to prices, discounts, parts availability, delivery dates, lead times and parts compilations
  • Manage key accounts and consignment stores, establishing and maintain a formal follow-up system for stock replenishment
  • Actively prospect, monitor and follow up on new business opportunities with new and existing clients
  • Maintain our in-house customer database and associated reporting
  • Deliver parts as required to customer sites
  • Process customer invoices and quotations for parts requirements

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the automotive industry - Heavy vehicle parts logistics experience preferred
  • Outstanding customer service, communication and negotiation skills
  • Results focused with an ability to think outside of the box as well as follow procedures
  • Ability to work autonomously within a broader team
  • Computer literate – previous experience with Dealer Pro or similar system highly regarded
  • Current manual car licence
