Ventura Air Services has a NEW opening for an Inventory Specialist at our location in Farmingdale, NY. This is a new position within our maintenance team and will play a critical role in managing our inventory and building vital relationships with vendors as we continue to grow. This position has the ability to make an immediate impact cross-functionally within the company. Requirements Retrieve parts from inventory to issue for Work Orders as requested by Maintenance Personnel. Maintain appropriate traceability documentation on all parts in inventory, including life-limited part core marking as required by Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs). Keep a clean workspace. Assist with loading and unloading trucks. Schedule truck shipments, UPS, and FedEx as needed. Inspect and record incoming and outgoing orders for count, damage, dates, etc. Sign for receipt of deliveries and take custody of incoming assets. Receive, track, and distribute electronic and mechanical components/parts. Prepare items for shipment. Learn and implement standard procedures for parts room inventory control. Work with Leadership to ensure continued compliance with FAR rules for handling and tracking Property. Maintain inventory records in Corridor Asset Tracking software. Ensure proper inventory and inspection for receipt is performed prior to transferring assets to requestors. Must be amenable to procurement-related work as needs arise. This position will allow for cross-training and the development of additional skills. Required Skills & Abilities: • Strong Microsoft office skills; specifically excel. • Previous aviation or inventory control experience a plus but not required. • Strong communication skills, written and verbal. • Professional and well spoken. Must be comfortable speaking to team members, clients, owners, vendors, and guests from all demographics. • Model a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize tasks. • Analytical problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. • Confident and goal-oriented • Aligns with the Ventura Core Values • A Valid Driver's license is required. • Previous experience working with inventory control systems preferred. • Ability to lift and move 50lbs when needed. Responsibilities
