Description Primary Objectives of the Position: This position is responsible for ordering, receiving, selling and invoicing parts for Central United Cooperative’s Ag Service Center. Ensure accurate and timely management of inventory and efficiently process parts transactions. Communicate effectively with customers and provide support in a manner that creates customer loyalty. Major Areas of Accountability: Part counter activity and phone sales. Distribute parts to Central United’s shop department. Responsible for all regular parts ordering. Update parts software and computer maintenance. Compile inventory book and spreadsheet. Responsible for shop parts invoicing and rental invoicing. Assist in stock ordering along with parts returns and warranty as needed. Research and locate obsolete parts. Assist with shipping and receiving as needed. Assist with displays and merchandising. Resolve customer complaints quickly and fairly in accordance with company policies. Refers unusual situations to Parts Manager. Suggest topics and provides information for publications or marketing materials going to customers. Comply with all laws and regulations that apply to the department. Attend appropriate training sessions relevant to the business. Match purchase orders with invoices and maintain accurate records. Utilize systems for invoicing and maintain program knowledge, and maintain up-to-date customer information. Provide customer service by person, phone, and electronically. Adhere to the company credit policy. Other duties and projects as assigned. Basic Qualifications: Post secondary education. Experience may be substituted for education. 3 years experience in parts and service. Must have a mechanic aptitude. Proficient computer skills are required. Ability to learn specialized accounting software. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. Value-Added Qualifications: Knowledge relevant to the business is beneficial such as agriculture machinery, construction equipment, outdoor power equipment, grain bins, tires, and replacement parts. Cooperative experience and/or an agricultural background is desired. Other: Must be in good physical condition capable of lifting, carrying and pushing weights up to 50 pounds and have full use of both arms, legs and hands. Must attend all training sessions required by law. Must comply with all safety regulations and policies of the company. Must have good finger dexterity. Must be able to operate all office equipment.
