Description Parts Specialist Location: Kent, WA Pay Range: $28.00 – $33.00 per hour (based on experience) Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role MSHS Pacific Power Group is seeking a Parts Specialist to join our Generator Parts Department. This is a dynamic role where your mechanical aptitude, strong communication skills, and customer-first approach will help us deliver exceptional service. The ideal candidate is driven to master technical details, thrives on accuracy, and enjoys working in a structured environment where expertise is valued. You will bring a meticulous eye for detail, a passion for problem-solving, and the ability to stay focused in the face of shifting priorities. Key Responsibilities Greet and assist customers via walk-ins, phone calls, and email inquiries. Research and identify parts using electronic and paper catalogs, providing accurate estimates and availability information. Enter orders into internal and external systems once verified. Provide parts recommendations based on technical knowledge and customer needs. Collect and process detailed customer order information, including payments. Support the Service Department with product pricing and availability requests. Monitor backorders daily to ensure prompt receipt and delivery. Conduct research for purchase order discrepancies, past due items, and suggest corrections. Participate in on-call rotation to support after-hours needs. Attend training and actively seek opportunities to grow your skills. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills & Qualifications 2+ years of parts experience. High school diploma or GED. Strong customer service and communication skills (in-person, phone, and email). Mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret technical information. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, and online vendor/order systems. Ability to define problems, analyze data, and develop solutions. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Valid driver’s license. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of marine, power generation and/or industrial diesel engines. Ability to calculate discounts, percentages, and other basic figures. Why Join Us?
