Stahl Peterbilt is actively seeking a dedicated full-time Parts Technician to join our team in Fort McMurray. As the ideal candidate, you will play a crucial role in meeting the growing demands within our Parts Department. Your strong customer-focused approach and friendly, outgoing demeanor will be instrumental in enhancing our service. In this role you will be a team player who thrives in a fast-paced work environment, your prior experience in a dealership setting will be a valuable asset in helping our dealership achieve our goals. The position involves a 7-day on/7-day off shift pattern, with 12-hour workdays.
Job Description and Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides excellent front counter customer service at all times to walk in and phone clients
  • Documents and processes quotations, pricing, and purchase orders electronically; takes payments
  • Researches parts for all makes of Class 7 and 8 trucks
  • Develops, maintains, and strengthens relationships with clients to build Parts business
  • Provides back counter parts support to mechanics in the service department
  • Responds proficiently and professionally by telephone and e-mail to customer inquiries, issues, and concerns
  • Core management
  • Conducts business on behalf of Stahl Peterbilt in a professional manner and represents Stahl Peterbilt culture to ensure fulfillment of company vision and values

Employment Qualifications:

  • Journeyman or Red Seal Parts Technician is preferred but experienced Parts personnel will be considered or currently enrolled in a registered apprentice in Alberta’s Advanced Education Trade Program “Parts Technician”.
  • Previous heavy equipment parts experience is required.
  • Previous sales experience is an asset.
  • Exceptional Customer Service skills are considered a strong asset.
  • Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite) and the ability to acclimate to PC-based order entry systems are necessary.
  • Must be organized and exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical and criminal record check prior to hiring.
