Position: Heavy Duty Parts Technician
Type: Fulltime Permanent
Location: Kelowna, BC
Compensation: From $28.00/hour depending on experience

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Heavy Duty Parts Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the seamless operation of our dealership by providing expert support in parts inventory, sourcing, and distribution. You will work closely with our service team to supply the right parts, helping to maintain and repair commercial trucks and trailers to the highest standard. This position offers opportunities for growth while supporting the smooth running of day-to-day operations.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Heavy Duty Parts Technician or in a related field
  • Class 5 driver’s license
  • Strong knowledge of truck and trailer parts
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Proficient with computer systems and parts management software
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Red Seal Parts Technician certificate is preferred
  • Dealership experience is preferred

Responsibilities
  • Receive and inspect incoming parts for accuracy and quality
  • Maintain an organized parts inventory and ensure proper stock levels
  • Assist service technicians in identifying and sourcing parts needed for repairs and maintenance
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering parts inquiries and offering recommendations
  • Process parts orders, returns, and exchanges in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure parts are properly labeled and stored to maintain accessibility and safety
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure the timely delivery of parts to the service department
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized parts department
  • Stay updated on new parts, tools, and equipment in the industry
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Parts Manager or Supervisor
