We are seeking well-experienced field crew members to grow our team. Job Summary: We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented individuals to join our land surveying field crews as Party Chiefs. Generally we operate using highly experience one-man field crews but do accept limited two-man crews. As part of our dynamic team, you will play a vital role in conducting field surveys for a variety of projects, including boundary, topographic, and construction staking surveys. Working closely with project managers and licensed surveyors, you will help collect and record accurate data to support mapping and geospatial projects. Position: Party Chief Responsibilities: Lead field survey crews to perform boundary, topographic, construction staking, and control surveys. Operate and maintain survey instruments, including GPS, Total Stations, and data collectors. Ensure the accuracy of collected data and document field notes clearly and precisely. Interpret project plans, survey plats, and specifications to guide field activities. Train and supervise crew members, ensuring safety protocols and quality standards are maintained. Communicate with project managers regarding project progress and challenges. Prepare field sketches and reports for internal and client review. Qualifications: Valid Driver’s License; Must be insurable by our auto-insurance policy; generally less than 3 moving violations in the last three years; no DUI / reckless driving in the last 5 years; High school diploma or GED; technical training in land surveying is preferred. Minimum of 3 years of field surveying experience, including crew leadership. Proficiency with GPS, Total Stations, and data collection software Strong understanding of survey principles, legal descriptions, and construction staking. Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains. Compensation and Benefits: Hourly Non-Exempt; $15.00 - $32.00 DOE After 60 days: Medical, Vision, Dental, and Company-paid basic life insurance.
