About the opportunity: Provide residents with emotional, spiritual, and psychological support, helping them cope with aging, loss, and health changes. Act as a compassionate listener for residents, offering counselling and comfort during times of distress, loneliness, or grief. Organize and lead religious services, prayers, or rituals tailored to residents' spiritual needs, respecting their diverse beliefs. Support residents and their families during end-of-life care, offering comfort, counselling, and spiritual care at this difficult time. Work alongside other health care staff (nurses, doctors, social workers) to provide holistic care to residents. Facilitate access to sacraments such as Holy Communion, Reconciliation, and Anointing of the Sick, ensuring residents can practice their faith regularly. What you’ll bring: You’re resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart. Most importantly, you are committed to delivering exceptional patient-centred care. To thrive in this role, you will have: At least one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education or other relevant qualification. Theological and/or other relevant graduate qualifications. Proficient computer skills. Training in pastoral care, counselling, or spiritual guidance is important to offer residents adequate emotional and spiritual support. Sensitivity to residents' diverse cultural backgrounds and spiritual beliefs to ensure inclusive care. Responsibilities
