SKILLS DESCRIPTION
1)Knowledge of the curriculum structure, objectives and assessment principles. Ability to implement effective and effective teaching methods within the classroom. Ability to identify curriculum issues, support curriculum review and development in line with requirements, and implement changes to campuses, teachers and students.
2)Knowledge of current and new educational technology tools and their applications to drive learning outcomes in the context of the classroom and curriculum. Ability to integrate technology tools to facilitate student learning through technology enabled platforms.
3)Ability to communicate and collaborate with parents to provide updates on student progress and activities, to understand and provide solutions to concerns, and to create a holistic learning environment for students at school and at home. Ability to collaborate and build partnerships with larger community (e.g., parents, other teachers’, campus staff, larger community partners) to create learning opportunities for students.
4)Knowledge of concepts and theories in disciplinary subject matter and ability to keep abreast of new developments in the field. Ability to apply deep and integrated knowledge to help students learn core concepts and their applications.
5)Knowledge of campus and teacher operations and ability to engage and drive teachers’ meetings and planning processes such as in the sharing of best practicing, rolling out new teaching methods, or implementing teaching resources. Ability to identify gaps in campus resources and processes and provide solutions through inter-departmental teams to create a safe, holistic and learning campus.
6)Knowledge of learning styles, instructional strategies, classroom management tools and assessment methods. Ability to apply a repertoire of approaches to engage students to create a positive learning environment, maintain discipline, and effectively manages time, resources, activities and space to drive learning outcomes. Knowledge of link between assessments and intended learning outcomes and ability to use assessment tools to identify learning needs, evaluate progress, provide feedback and take follow up action through basic statistical analysis of student results.
7)Create a conducive learning environment for colleagues, teachers and students promoting learning outcomes
8)Manner in which the employee completes job assignments. This includes accuracy precision, thoroughness, neatness, reliability, responsiveness to requests for service, follow through follow-up, dependability, judgment and decision making
