To provide rapid response to staff when a child is in need of additional support. To monitor and report on students out of class. To provide a physical presence on the school site during the school day, especially during breaks and lunch time. To pro-actively liaise with parents/carers To provide relevant behaviour and safeguarding training to staff through CPD. To provide support to students who are struggling to engage with classes and staff in cooperation with the clinical team with the aim of re-engagement in class. To provide data for SLT and Governors. To ensure that all relevant compliance has been completed with the support of the school business manager in the completion of educational visits (EVC’s) To be the school’s LAC Designated Lead To co-ordinate interventions taking whole school responsibility for targeted support on EHCPs. Responsibilities
The Pastoral Lead and Designated Safeguarding Lead will develop and improve individual and site practices around behaviour and safeguarding, ensuring effective policy implementation. They will also provide support to students struggling to engage with classes and coordinate interventions for targeted support.
