ABOUT US

Cathedral Schools Trust (CST)is a family of schools committed to inspiring learning both in and beyond the classroom. With a strong focus on music and the creative arts, we support every student and staff member in reaching their full potential. If you’re looking for a Trust that values creativity, growth, and meaningful learning, CST could be the perfect place for you.
We invite you to join our team at Trinity Academy. Trinity is a highly oversubscribed free school that opened in 2019. We are a values based community that focuses on the learning of all students and staff, that cares deeply for our young people and each other and that is committed to co-curricular enrichment. Our stated goal is to be a +1 school for progress and as such, we are looking for an exceptional leader and teacher to join us in our mission.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for an inspiring Head of Year to provide outstanding pastoral support to a year group from September 2025. This is a key role for the Academy in fulfilling its commitment to develop “the heart” of the school. You will be overseeing the pastoral needs of a year group; constantly driving for excellent attendance, behaviour and safeguarding. You will be supported by a pastoral support leader in providing care for every student in your allotted year group.

If you join us, you will benefit from:

  • Trinity is a ‘Good’ school with ‘Outstanding’ leadership and management and ‘Outstanding‘ Personal Development’ (Ofsted Jan 2024)
  • “This is an ambitious school that wants the very best for its pupils, both academically and pastorally”.
  • “The school’s curriculum is highly ambitious for all pupils”
  • “Lessons are not disrupted by poor behaviour. The school is calm and orderly because pupils understand the rules and routines in place.”
  • The progress of our students is significantly above the national average (P8 +0.53)
  • We believe in our leaders - we do not micro manage
  • We develop our people
  • We have hardworking staff and students who want to do well
  • We ensure consistent behaviour and expectations allow you to focus on the craft and science of teaching
  • Weekly coaching for all staff and weekly department co-planning
  • Exceptionally visible and supportive senior leadership team
  • Hardworking staff and students who want to do well
  • Schemes of work fully resourced and ready
