New Sicilian gelato, granita store will be opening soon and we are looking for a Gelato chef / baker, serving unique Sicilian desserts to St Petersburg.

SUMMARY

As a gelato chef / baker , you will be an essential part of our culinary team, responsible for creating delicious baked goods and high quality gelato that will delight our customers. This role is vital in supporting our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a baker/ gelato maker or in a similar culinary role.
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques and pastry preparation.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Enthusiasm for artisanal food production.
  • Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Experience in menu planning is preferred but not required.
  • Supervisory experience is beneficial for team leadership roles.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare gelato, and granita in the lab according to recipes and brand standards

Prepare a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and desserts, ensuring high quality and presentation standards.

  • Manage kitchen operations efficiently to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop new recipes and seasonal offerings that align with customer preferences.
  • Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies; order as necessary to ensure seamless operations.
  • Implement food safety standards and practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
  • Assist in menu planning to create enticing options for customers.
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff in baking techniques and kitchen protocols.
