A new and exciting luxury lodge resort set in the grounds of Chester Zoo is opening August 2025 and we are on the lookout for a Pastry Chef/Baker to join the team.
Nestled in nature and designed to offer an unparalleled guest experience. The Reserve combines world-class amenities with a unique sense of adventure and tranquillity. As we prepare for our grand opening, we are seeking an experienced Pastry Chef to lead our team and help shape the future of the hotel.

Responsibilities

As our Pastry Chef, you will specialise in artisan breadmaking and elegant afternoon tea creations, while also supporting breakfast service with freshly baked pastries and breads each morning. From delicate patisserie to showstopping loaves, you’ll be at the heart of our guests’ most memorable dining moments.

Responsibilities:

  • Create exceptional breads, pastries, and afternoon tea treats that balance flavour, texture, and visual artistry.
  • Support breakfast service with a daily selection of fresh baked goods.
  • Work closely with the Head Chef to develop seasonal menus and special event offerings.
  • Maintain the highest standards of food safety, presentation, and consistency.
  • Play a key role in the pre-opening phase, setting up pastry operations and systems for long-term success.
