POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate must have proven pastry experience in a fine-dining or high-volume upscale kitchen. This role requires exceptional technical skills, artistic presentation, and the ability to lead and collaborate with the culinary team to produce world-class desserts and pastries that uphold Cafe Central’s reputation for excellence.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a fine-dining or upscale culinary environment (minimum 3–5 years required).
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, and dessert presentation.
  • Creativity and passion for developing new recipes and unique flavor combinations.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred but not required.

  • Design and maintain an innovative dessert menu that aligns with the restaurant’s fine-dining standards.
  • Ensure consistency, precision, and artistic presentation in all plated desserts and baked goods.
  • Supervise and train pastry team members, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Manage pastry kitchen operations, including ordering, inventory, and cost control.
  • Collaborate with Executive Chef and culinary leadership to create seasonal and special-event menus.
  • Uphold sanitation and food safety procedures at all times.
  • Work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and creativity.
