Pastry Chef
Colorado Golf Club is seeking an experienced and passionate Pastry Chef to join our team.

Your expertise in preparing a variety of mouthwatering desserts and pastries, combined with your creative flair for developing unique tastes and recipes, will be essential in delighting our members.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread etc. Following traditional and your own modern recipes
  • Create new and exciting desserts to enhance our menus and engage the interests of our membership.
  • Decorate cakes and pastries using different techniques, icings, toppings.
  • Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar and dairy items - make appropriate orders within budget.
  • Check quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for cooking.
  • Guide and motivate Chef De Parties and assistants to work more efficiently and assist in the creation of final plating for desserts.
  • Maintain par levels, an orderly cooking station, and adhere to health and safety standards.

Requirements and skills

  • Must have Fine Dining, Golf Club or Country Club Experience.
  • Proven experience as Pastry Chef, Sous Chef, Assistant Pastry Chef, Head Baker.
  • Great attention to detail and creativity
  • Organizing and leadership skills
  • Willingness to replenish professional knowledge.
  • In depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation and baking techniques and nutrition
  • Working knowledge of baking with ingredient limitations (pastries that are gluten free, sugarless etc.)
  • Preferred Certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking, or relevant field
