OVERVIEW

We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Chef to join our small and passionate team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, with a particular focus on baking and pastry techniques. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. If you have a love for creating quality pastry and pastries, we would love to hear from you.
We are a small artisan bakery in Clapham North with a great local reputationn. We seek someone to help us grow and maintain standards. We have recently won Taste Awards for our range of brands and pastries.

SKILLS

  • Proven experience in food production, particularly in baking and pastry preparation.
  • Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on dessert creation and presentation.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in a kitchen environment.
  • Previous experience working in a restaurant or commercial kitchen setting is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under pressure.
  • A keen eye for detail, ensuring that all products meet the highest quality standards.
  • Reliable and punctuality essential.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes and baked goods according to established recipes and standards. Bbet we also want you to cbe creative!
  • Assist in the development of new pastry recipes and menu items, showcasing creativity and innovation.
  • Ensure that all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pastry station, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and high-quality presentation of all dishes.
  • Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and assist in ordering as necessary.
  • Participate in training new kitchen staff on pastry techniques and best practices.
  • Be able to work alone or as part of a team
