About the role We currently have an amazing opportunity for a talented and creative Pastry Chef to join our team at San Domenico Palace Taormina, a Four Seasons Hotel. What you will do Will be responsible for leading the Pastry and Bakery operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality, creativity, and consistency across all outlets. Develop and implement pastry concepts and seasonal offerings aligned with the hotel’s culinary vision and guest expectations. Oversee daily operations of the pastry kitchen, including production planning, quality control, and hygiene standards. Manage and mentor the pastry team, fostering a culture of excellence, creativity, and continuous development. Monitor costs and productivity, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to budget guidelines. Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and attention to detail. What you bring Proven experience (typically 4+ years) in a pastry role with leadership responsibilities, preferably in luxury or high-end hospitality environments. Proven leadership and organizational abilities, with experience managing and developing a team. Strong creative skills with a passion for innovation and excellence in pastry and dessert presentation. Solid knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen operations. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail. Fluent in both English and Italian, with the ability to communicate clearly in both languages.
